These are handmade for Seggiano by the Garritano family in Cosenza, Calabria. Their small cioccolateria has been making wonderful traditional Calabrian dolcetti for over a century, using the typical fruits and nuts of the region. The prized fruit of Calabria is the Dottato fig of Cosenza. It is the most delicious fig variety, large and juicy with soft skin. The natural simplicity of a baked fig, dipped in white chocolate, brings unexpected and irresistible pleasures. The unusually sophisticated combination of creamy white chocolate with the soft, dark toffee flavour of caramelised fig is truly, wickedly delicious. Baked Calabrian figs dipped in white chocolate.
