These are handmade for Seggiano by the Garritano family in Cosenza, Calabria, on the toe of Italy. Their small cioccolateria has been making delicious Calabrian dolcetti for over a century, using the typical fruits and nuts of the region. The prized fruit of Calabria is the Dottato fig of Cosenza. It is the most delicious fig variety, large and juicy with soft skin. These typical fig dolcetti are traditional Calabrian treats.

The sun dried figs are soaked in rum, then stuffed with an almond and dipped in 72% dark chocolate. A divinely simple and delicious way to enjoy figs. Calabrian figs soaked in rum stuffed with an almond & dipped in dark chocolate.
