Potter’s Workshop is based in Cape Town. Founded by Chris Silverston, whose family is based in Sherborne, Dorset and South Africa. The pottery studio was set up in 1986, initially a place where people could come and paint their own plates. However it developed rapidly due to Chris against tradition, training up Xhosa men with no creative background, providing a safe secure environment, where they could develop their painting skills. She helped these artisans create their distinctive style of tactile, bead-like painting on ceramics, for which The Potter’s Workshop has become renowned.

All are one of a kind, due to the delicate nature of the work. This collection is also exclusive to Brassica Mercantile.

All the colours are pattern vary according to artist - please state predominant colour when ordering.
