- Lemon Scented Basil – silvery-green, narrow leaves with a fresh lemon scent. Use in Thai and Indonesian soups and curries, and even North African meat dishes.
- Dark Opal Purple Basil – very similar in flavour to regular basil, but with hints of more exotic anise and ginger. Leaves range from green to deep purple, and sometimes both! Use as a vibrant garnish for Italian, Thai and Vietnamese dishes.
- Dwarf Bush Basil – this only grows to about six inches high, with very small, compact leaves. Each leaf bursts with intense basil flavour, so a little goes a long way. The flavour is similar to classic Italian basil, so use in the same way.
