It all started when co-founder Bodil Blain saw a friend filling her old Nespresso® capsules with her favourite speciality coffee. For her, it was a lightbulb moment – the technology was there, but the coffee on offer just wasn’t up to scratch.

NO PESTICIDES

Since launching with their first ever coffee capsule back in 2013, Cru have only ever used certified organic coffee, and always will. Unlike non-organic coffee production that makes wide use of manufactured chemicals and pesticides, organic coffee is produced with natural, certified fertilisers which not only use less energy but leaves much less of a footprint on the communities that use them. Cry make sure that everyone who has a part to play in our coffee gets the treatment they deserve - and buying organic is an important part of that process.

NO WASTE

Cru care as much about the environment as they do about their coffee; that’s why they are committed to running an ethically sustainable business and are continually striving to reduce our carbon footprint. Because of this, they are constantly investing in their products and supply chain, making sure that everything from the pods to the packaging is 100% recyclable.

Organic Dark RoastA deep and comforting espresso, this coffee is roasted dark to help bring out a gorgeous, full body that more than holds its own when paired with milk.

Organic Light Roast - Bright and balanced with notes of citrus and flora, our Light Roast was the first blend we ever created - and one that has more than stood the test of time.

Organic Colombian - A bright & colourful bean from one of the world’s most famous coffee-growing regions, held high by wonderfully crisp notes of fruit and berries.
