Boquerones in Vinegar and Sunflower Oil
The fish are first marinated in white wine vinegar, which will give the boquerones their distinctive white colour, before being packed in sunflower oil whose mildness allows the flavour of the fish to come through.
This product has been awarded with 1 star in the Great Taste Awards 2016. The judges' comments were:
"Plump and generous anchovies, a good balance of sweet and acidic, very pleasant. How lovely to see white anchovies rather than the usual dark ones. They have zing and vigour. The texture is firm and meaty."
